How's this for catching up?

The week after Brooke left Mike finished his finals and we were ready for the next two weeks off! Monday May 3rd we headed for Orlando! On the way we passed a site I thought I'd never see. When Brooke was here she asked is we've ever seen gator road kill. Of course I haven't and it just didn't seem too likely. Seriously, they are so big wouldn't you see them crossing the road? Doesn't seem like they dart across the road like deer or any other animal whose legs are longer than their tail. Anyway, I saw it, gator road kill! I told Mike he had to turn around so I could take a picture for Brooke. He thought I was crazy but did it anyway. I know you're thinking, "what kinda sick freak are you?" So here it is...

Disgusting for sure! But, I'm sure it's a site I will only see once in my life so I had to document it for posterity. (:
Anyway, We spent 3 days in Disney. Had a blast and won't have to go back again for another 15 years or so. I could spend everyday at the water park but the other parks, not so much. One day for each was perfect!

After we returned home we just relaxed, had a beach day and Mike & Kade enjoyed the father-son campout in the Everglades. Tuesday morning we heard about an amazing deal on flights to San Francisco and by that evening to our surprise the flights were booked! Wednesday the 12th we were off again, San Francisco here we come! We spent the rest of the week with Mike's parents in California. They recently moved so we enjoyed their new little town and everything around it. We packed that trip with shopping, movies, eating, golfing, cheese factory tour, Fresno temple, Sequoia National Forest and San Francisco! The company Kes works for is the largest cheese factory in North America. (I think that's what he told us) The factory makes cheese for Kraft, Pizza hut, and Taco Bell just to name a few. They even test the cheese to make sure its "stretchy" enough for each company. I was hoping to be there when the fresh pizza came out of the oven! Such a fun trip! We hopped on the plane back to FL Saturday night and arrived 6 o' clock Sunday morning. So crazy!

Back home, enough time to unpacked, do laundry, clean the house, squeeze in doctor's appointments, catch up on everything I was behind on and re-pack. Kansas here we come! In Kansas the girls had a sewing week and wow was it crazy. My Mom's friend came down from Iowa, her and my mom probably sewed 18 hours a day that week! Brooke & I took tons of pictures as a tornado was brewing. Grandma let Kade buy two fish for her pond, he named them El sharky and Mike, how hilarious right! We visited the zoo, the BIG pool (2.2 million gallons of water, yeah that's BIG) went riding, I fouled a plug in the middle of the river-go me! Dad's real good about putting up with me. He even said it wasn't my fault, how sweet of him. I know better (: rode in the Rhino (Dad got the beast running again), hatched ducks, slip n' slide, rode scooters, golfed around the house, jumped on the tramp with sprinklers, played dodgeball, played baseball with marshmallows & water balloons, I never seem to act my age when I get around Ryan and Tayler, they're too much fun!

So that's the last three months in a nut shell. Kinda makes my life seem like all play and no work...hmmm?

I love the alligator rode kill! Ok now I sound like a sick freak...the alligator road kill is equally appalling to me as it is to you. Seriously - how fast do they move?

I had no idea Kes and Ruth moved. It's always fun to explore a new place. I love your quarterly updates. You really sound like you just play. I think Shane needs to go to podiatry school so we can play like you guys. ;)

You guys are always on the go! But it always seems to be a good time too! I think it would be really sick to hit an alligator! Yucky, yucky! Sheesh! I totally appreciate the picture though, it never occured to me that there would be alligator roadkill, but I guess anything can be roadkill right? But I am glad that you are having a great time and that you have the endurance travel with two kiddos! Way to go!!! Maybe someday our paths will cross again huh? Let's work on that!
