So I know it’s time to update the blog. Last week I decided that I would work at it slowly because its been forever and I had a lot to recap, plus our internet doesn’t always work so that makes it a little difficult. I wrote as much as I could and had pretty much finished up and left the page open on the desktop. As my luck would have it, I searched and searched but it was long gone. Sad day. So here is my attempt to give a quick update while trying not to bore you too much. If I don’t get the pictures to upload I’ll post those later. (Please don’t think too much of my poor grammar and long sentences with little punctuation).
Last thing I remember it was mid-July we were busy with apartment searching, Doctor’s appointments, School, Church, you name it we had it going on. Mike & I were both looking forward to the well needed vacation we had planned that would last nearly a month! So in the rush of everything my little peach of a husband surprised me with Rascal Flats tickets. Finals week started for Mike, we all spent the week running to Doctor’s appointments, Friday we rocked out at the concert, Saturday my Mom & Lane flew in, and we spent the day packing. Sunday’s are always packed with church stuff. Monday was spent in the hospital and a little more packing accompanied by me feeling real bad that Mom & Lane had to be in Miami working so hard and there wasn’t even one second to stop and enjoy anything. I felt so bad that we did end up running to South Beach because it was so close to the hospital I felt like we’d be safe running there and running right back. As we were cruising the streets of South Beach I felt real even worse for leaving the love of my life in the hospital while we are out enjoying ourselves. Tough life, I know. Tuesday, more packing and cleaning. Mike came home from the hospital. We spent Wednesday moving, thank goodness for great help or I couldn’t have done it. The whole place was moved out and back into our new place in about three and a half hours. Not really by choice but it all worked out great. My Mom and I cleaned the old place and started unpacking the new place. Thursday we tried tying up all the loose ends, Mike successfully finished up finals, and we all headed out that afternoon for vacation!
The first half of vacation was spent with Mike’s family between Vegas and Utah. After what seemed like a never-ending semester nothing says relax like being at the cabin. No phone service, no TV, no computer- nothing, and it’s wonderful! Just us in our comfy clothes, eating good food, playing games and loving the mountains.
The next half of vacation was spent in Kansas with my family. We had a well-planned family reunion “amazing race” style. We divided into teams, were given clues and then raced to our destination. By the end of the week team orange took the lead and won! I spent the next week finishing old projects and starting new ones.
Vacation is so great because there is no care in the world. It seems so unreal, which makes it hard to get back to “life.” It was so fun being with our families and being so far from them makes it even more enjoyable when we get together.
We had a week here to take vacation from our vacation before life got back on the fast track. Since we’ve been home we’ve celebrate Mike and Kade’s birthday and if not sooner, another little birthday by Wednesday. I’m being induced Wednesday but go in tomorrow night to get started and we will see when this little baby decides to make an appearance! Life is great. That was a long but quick update on our life over the past few months and I’m sure I’ll slack again and update in another few months.

Yeah I agree where was the "I'm pregnant!" announcement. Seriously. Congrats though! Can't wait to see pictures of your new little one!
I feel special that I figured out you were pregnant! Everyone: Brittany is a sneeky little devil that doesn't like to share monumental things like I am pregnant with her bloggies! Just kidding Brittany! I love you! Good luck with the new little one! I hope it is a girl! I really think that cute little blanket your mom made needs a home! It sounds like you had a seriously crazy break but how nice to have a change of routine huh? I hope you are all settled in your new place and I don't mind typing errors or run on sentences. I obviously use them myself! Good luck tonight and tomorrow!
